A professional writer, Carolyn brings an element of literacy to her craft, painting vignettes with words and melody that take the listener on a journey rich in feeling.
After a many-year hiatus from music, Carolyn picked up the guitar in 2003 and began writing songs again. She and her band has played at Upper Merion Concerts Under the Stars for three consecutive seasons, where they've opened for John Gorka and Lori McKenna. Other performances include Milkboy Coffee House - Ardmore Main Stage and Bryn Mawr, Democracy Cafe, Steel City Coffee House, Chaplin's Music Cafe, and the Academy of Arts in Bath. Carolyn performs on acoustic guitar and vocals with several talented musicians: Mike DeNaro on acoustic lead guitar, Juan Kamuca on guitar and bass, Daryl Katz on drums, and Maryanne Mara on vocals.
A Pennsylvania native, Carolyn has also lived in Boulder, Colorado and Bath, England. She is raising two daughters adopted from China.
